Star Awards 2025 (awarded at Founder’s Day 2026)
We are incredibly proud to announce the outstanding achievements of 1st Midrand Scout Group at this year’s Star Awards, presented during the Founder’s Day Ceremony and Gala.
Our sections performed exceptionally well across the board:
- 🦦 Meerkat Den – Gold Star Award
- 🐺 Cub Pack – Gold Star Award
- ⚜️ Scout Troop – Silver Star Award
- 🏅 All Scout Patrols – Patrol Gold Star Awards
- 🌟 1st Midrand Scout Group – Silver Star Award
These awards recognise excellence in programme delivery, youth progression, leadership development, record keeping, community involvement, and alignment with the values and standards of Scouts South Africa.
To have both our Meerkats and Cubs achieve Gold Star status is a testament to the energy, creativity and dedication of our leadership teams, as well as the enthusiasm and spirit of our young members. The Scout Troop’s Silver Star, alongside every patrol earning a Patrol Gold Star, reflects a strong culture of youth leadership, accountability and teamwork within the Troop.
The Group’s overall Silver Star Award highlights the collective effort of leaders, youth members, parents and the Group Committee in building a vibrant, values-driven and sustainable Scout Group.
These achievements were celebrated at the Founder’s Day Ceremony and Gala — a fitting occasion to honour the legacy of Scouting while recognising the hard work taking place within our own Group.
We thank our volunteer leaders for their tireless commitment, our parents for their ongoing support, and most importantly our Meerkats, Cubs and Scouts for living the Scout Promise and Law in all that they do.
