1st Midrand Scout Group
Welcome to the 1st Midrand Scout Group. We are an active Scout Group based in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. Our group was established in 2017 with a mission to bring Scouting to youth across all age groups in Johannesburg’s Midrand area. We offer scouting for boys and girls aged 5-6 years (Meerkats), 7-10years (Cubs) and 11-17years (Scouts).
What is Scouting
Scouting in South Africa, recognised by the World Organization of the Scout Movement, is a youth development programme guiding young people towards becoming confident, responsible, and community‑oriented individuals.

1st Midrand Meetings
1st Midrand offers meeting for Meerkats, Cubs and Scouts:
- Meerkats (ages 5-6 years): Saturday mornings 08:00 to 09:30.
- Cubs (ages 7-10 years): Saturday mornings from 08:00 to 09:30.
- Scouts (ages 11-17 years): Friday evenings from 18:00 to 20:30.
1st Midrand meets at 26 Walton Road, Carlswald, Midrand (entrance in Guildford Road).
